On Tuesday 25 March 2019 at 1pm AAMRI released its election statement. The statement calls on politicians to commit to three main priorities:
1. Ensure that the MRFF reaches $20 billion by 2020-21
2. Provide continued strong support for the NHMRC
3. Develop sustainable and rewarding career pathways
AAMRI has continued to meet with politicians on all sides of politics to press home the case for strong investment in medical research and will continue to do so in the lead up to the election. All responses received to the election statement will be published once they are obtained by AAMRI.
